Puffy Beanie

Today I have something special for you: the free pattern for the Puffy Beanie. At the end of the instructions ou can find the direct link to download the free pdf. Puffy Beanie is a very warm, comfy and simple beanie to make and a joy to wear. It’s worked in the round until the end, so you don’t need to sew any parts. It’s a quick knitting to make for the more expert knitters and an easy way to learn how to knit with circular needles for the beginners. All you need are a yarn of chunky wool and circular needles.
Materials:

Circular Needles 8 mm / US 11 / UK 0

1 yarn of Crazy Sexy Wool by Wool and the Gang (you can also use 1 yarn of The Wool by We Are Knitters)

What you need to know:
Knit and purl in the round
Decreasing
Level of knitting:
beginners/medium
Legend:
K: knit
P: purl
Ssk: slip slip knit
K2tg: knit 2 stitches together
Measures:
Large: about 46 cm / 18.1 inches
Long: about 24 cm / 9.4 inches
Pattern:
Using the circular needles cast on 49 stitches (45 if you are using The Wool). To join in the round slip the last stitch on the left needle, place a marker for the end of the round.
Row 1: k2tg (in this way your knitting will be more smooth), P 1, K 1 P 1, repeat K 1 P 1 to the end of the row. Now you will have 48 stitches on the needles until you will start to work the final decreases rows.
Row 2: K 1 P 1 to the end of the round.
Repeat row 2 until the beanie measure 20 cm / 7.8 inches or the desire length you want for the beanie. Keep in mind that you still need to make the final rounds for the decreases.
Decreasing:
Row 1: following the k and p pattern work 8 stitches and then make a ssk, repeat other 3 times, until you have 8 stitches left, work 6 stitches (following the k p pattern) then make a ssk.
Row 2: following the k and p pattern work 7 stitches and then make a ssk, repeat other 3 times, until you have 7 stitches left, work 5 stitches (following the k p pattern) then make a ssk.
Row 3: k 1 p 1 to the end of the row
Row 4: repeat row 3.
Close:
cut the yarn long enough to go through all the stitches, using a yarn needle go through all the stitches, hide the threads.

La berretta Puffy è un cappello molto caldo, comodo e semplice da fare. E’ lavorata in cerchio dall’inizio alla fine, senza nessuna cucitura. E’ un progetto veloce da realizzare per le knitters più esperte e un buon modo per iniziare a lavorare ai ferri circolari. Tutto quello che serve è un gomitolo di lana chunky e un paio di ferri circolari.

Dritto e rovescio lavorati in tondo
Diminuire

Ssk: passare 2 m singolarmente a diritto e lavorarle poi insieme a dir ritorto
K2tg: 2 maglie insieme a diritto
Misure:
Largo: circa 46 cm
Lungo: circa 24 cm
Pattern:
Usando i ferri circolari monta 49 maglie (45 se stai lavorando con The Wool).
Per unire e lavorare in tondo, passa sul ferro di sinistra l’ultima maglia fatta, metti il marca punto.
Giro 1: k2tg (in questo modo il tuo lavoro sarà più preciso), 1 Rov, *1 D 1 Rov, ripeti * fino alla fine del giro. Ora sui ferri avrai 48 maglie finchè non inizierai i giri di diminuzione.
Giro 2: 1 D 1 Rov fino alla fine del giro.
Ripeti il giro 2 finchè la berretta non misura 20 cm ( o continua finchè non raggiungi la lunghezza desiderata, tieni solo a mente che dovrai ancora lavorare altri 4 giri prima di chiudere).
Diminuire:
Giro 1: seguendo 1 D 1 Rov lavora 8 maglie e fai una diminuzione con ssk, ripeti per altre 3 volte finchè hai 8 maglie rimanenti, lavora 6 maglie (sempre seguendo il motivo 1 D 1 Rov) e fai una diminuzione ssk.
Giro 2: seguendo 1 D 1 Rov lavora 7 maglie e fai una diminuzione con ssk, ripeti per altre 3 volte finchè hai 8 maglie rimanenti, lavora 5 maglie (sempre seguendo il motivo 1 D 1 Rov) e fai una diminuzione ssk.
Giro 3: 1 D 1 Rov fino alla fine del giro
Giro 4: ripeti il giro 3.
Chiudere:
Taglia il filo lasciandolo lungo abbastanza da chiudere la berretta. Usando l’ago da lana fai passare il filo in tutte le maglie, nascondi i fili.
