Calmfluencer: how it all started
This past weekend C. and me were talking about lots of things, among other things we were talking about influencers, content creators, Instagram and things like these.
Then, the morning after, I posted a picture and I received a couple of comments that made me smile all day. They were saying that my pictures spread a sense of calmness and quiet time. I’ve already received this kind of comments and every time they make me smile and be proud of what I’m doing. Slow living and calmness are two things very important for me and are something that I’m very happy to spread. If with one of my pictures I can make you feel more calm, even for five minutes a day, I’m ok for the day, my job is done.
La scorsa settimana C. ed io stavamo parlando di molte cose, tra cui influencers, content creator ed Instagram.
La mattina dopo ho postato una foto su Instagram e ho ricevuto un paio di commenti che mi hanno fatta sorridere tutto il giorno. Mi dicevano che le mie foto gli davano un senso di calma e tranquillità. Non è la prima volta che ricevo questo genere di commenti e ogni volta ne sono davvero felice e mi rendo conto di essere fiera di quello che condivido. Slow living e tranquillità sono due valori molto importanti per me e di cui sono felice di parlare. Se con una foto riesco a far sentire anche solo una persona più calma, anche solo per alcuni minuti, allora mi ritengo soddisfatta per quella giornata.
After a busy afternoon where C. was taking apart some very old and stubborn piece of furniture, we went to our Chinese take away, to breath some fresh air and to relax a bit. We were walking back home and I started to talk about this picture and the lovely comments and I was joking about how cool it would be if I could become an influencer of calm and slow time. C, always joking, called me “calmfluencer” and, after the first laugh, I found that definition really appropriate and great and I decided to insert it in my Instagram bio.
Dopo un pomeriggio abbastanza impegnato in cui C. ha smontato un pezzo veramente vecchio di mobile, siamo andati a prenderci la cena dal cinese, abbiamo fatto una piccola passeggiata e respirato un po’ d’aria fresca. Stavamo parlando sulla via del ritorno e gli raccontavo della fotografia e dei commenti ricevuti e stavo scherzando su quanto sarebbe stato bello se fossi riuscita a diventare una influencer di calma e tranquillità. C., sempre scherzando, ha pensato al nome calmfluencer e, dopo una prima risata, ho pensato che quella definizione fosse davvero appropriata e ho finito per inserirla nella mia biografia su Instagram.
