Calmfluencer, a daily practice episode 5
Last Saturday I went to Turin to spend a day with some old friends and some new ones.
First of all there was a presentation for the magazine Inutile. My friends from Inutile also have two other magazines: No Rocket Science and Effemeridi, go check them out, you will definetly find something that you will love.
Lo scorso sabato sono stata tutta la giornata a Torino fra amici vecchi e nuovi.
Prima di tutto c’è stata la presentazione con brunch della rivista Inutile. Gli amici di Inutile curano altre due riviste, No Rocket Science e Effemiridi, andate a dare un’occhiata, troverete sicuramente qualcosa che fa per voi.
The brunch was at Da Emilia, a really nice place near the University, where you can eat delicious food from Emilia Romagna (I would suggest to eat the maxi tigella with grilled vegetables and pistachio’s pesto, just perfect).
Il brunch era Da Emilia, un posto molto carino vicino all’università che esprime perfettamente l’idea torinese di piola/vecchio locale. Qui potete mangiare del buonissimo cibo emiliano (io ho preso la maxi tigella con verdure grigliate e pesto di pistacchi, una delizia).
In the afternoon we went to the Bodoni bookshop where I found the Project Calm Magazine (that I’m reading very slowly these days). Then the usual stop for the afternoon tea and cake at Convitto Cafè (I used to go there when I was studying in Turin years ago, and the cakes are still amazing).
We saved the best has been for dinner: Oh Crispa, a little place serving chinese street food that is just amazing. Can you please open one in Milan?
Nel pomeriggio siamo passati alla Libreria Bodoni dove ho trovato la rivista Project Calm Magazine (che sto leggendo molto lentamente questi giorni). Poi non poteva mancare la tappa per tè e torta da il Convitto (ci andavo quando studiavo a Torino e le loro torte sono ancora buonissime). Ma la cosa più bella è stata la sera: per cena siamo andati da Oh Crispa, un piccolo posto nel cuore di San Salvario dove fanno street food cinese ed era buonissimo, potete, per favore, aprirne uno anche a Milano? Ve ne sarei davvero molto grata!
This week has completely been dedicated to work and then some more work, so I didn’t go for a walk around as much, but I went for coffe and a little cheecky cannoli with my cousin in and old and tipycal bakery in Milan: Marchesi 1824. The location in via Santa Maria alla Porta is just beautiful and very suggestive.
Questa settimana è stata tutta dedicata al lavoro e ancora ad altro lavoro, così non ho avuto modo di camminare da nessuna parte. Però una mattina sono uscita a prendere il caffè con mia cugina da Marchesi 1824. La sede in via Sanata Maria alla Porta è bellissima e molto suggestiva, se non ci siete mai stati vi raccomando un caffè e un cannolo piccolo.
